Comments Policy

Comments are Welcome. The sponsor of this blog wants to have an informal, open, and lively dialogue with area residents about issues related to the health and safety of water and the long term well-being of the water supply and treatment system.

Differences of opinion are welcome here. To ensure the discussion is civil and reflects well on the sponsor of this blog and its members, all commenters must abide by the following guidelines:
  • All Rights Reserved: The blog owner, administrator, contributor, editor, and/or author reserve the right to delete, move, or mark as spam any and all comments. We may choose to block access to any one or any group from commenting or from the entire blog.
  • Hold Harmless: All comments within this blog are the responsibility of the commenter, not the blog owner, administrator, contributor, editor, or author. By submitting a comment on our blog, you agree that the comment content is your own, and to hold this site, the sponsor, and all subsidiaries and representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability.
  • Legitimate Participation: The comment form must be filled in with a proper name and email address. If your comment appears to be spam — such as using keywords, spam or splog-like URLs, or suspicious information in the comment form, we will delete it.
  • Legal and Ethical. Do not advocate illegal activity or infringe on others trademarks and copyrights
  • Email Privacy: You must provide an email address when you place a comment on the blog. The blogger or sponsor may use it to contact you privately. The email address will not be shared with other blog readers or any third party.
  • Language and Manners: This blog is “family friendly” and comments which include offensive or inappropriate language, or considered by the blog owner and administrator to be rude and offensive, will be edited or deleted. Play nice.
  • No Personal Attack Comments Permitted: We welcome differences of opinion, but you may not post harsh personal attacks or threats against the blogger, individuals who work for the sponsoring organizations, any public officials, nor any other readers or commenters.
  • Individual Privacy Protection: Never include personal contact information for anyone, including you, in the public area of a comment. This means as electronic or postal mail addresses, phone numbers, and any other private and personal information. We will delete any comments containing this information as soon as it comes to our attention.
  • A Comment is Conversation: At our discretion, we may move or delete any comment which does not add to the conversation, runs off on an inappropriate tangent, or makes any others feel unwelcome.
  • Appropriate Topics: This blog will cover a wide range of topics, and the conversation may go in any number of directions. However, we will remove hate speech, political or religious proselytizing, “adult” or sexual content, and self-serving commercial promotion.
  • Commenters Blocked: Anyone who violates this Comments Policy may be blocked from future access and/or commenting on this blog.
